I know it has nothing to do with the resolution in the display settings for my monitor. How do i change the resolution settings in explorer 8 so that everthing appears smaller? Everything looks huge?
press ctrl+ (-)
or goto view then zoom then reset..How do i change the resolution settings in explorer 8 so that everthing appears smaller? Everything looks huge?
There's a ';zoom'; size control in the bottom right corner of the window. (You should see a magnifying glass icon, and percentage number in it)
Click on the down arrow next to it, and select a number that's smaller than the one you've currently got.
Hope this helps.
Text could get smaller when you use a large monitor. While browsing You could use this combination to magnify the page.
Control key + Mouse Wheel or Control Key + +(or)-
Scroll Up to zoom in, scroll down to zoom out.
On the bottom right of your internet explorer 8 window there's a zoom button, click on the drop down arrow to select the zoom level u want,
Alternatively just press ';CTRL and -'; together to zoom out and ';CTRL and +'; to zoom in
at the bottom right of your browser is a zoom click it until you reach the size you want

How do I change the display font size on windows xp? ?
I had to reinstall windows xp today and for some reason my display font is all weird now. I've tried going to properties %26gt; settings %26gt; screen resolution. But the problem is that everything's stretched sideways and I can't get it back to the way it used to be. Does anyone know how to fix this? It's starting to really hurt my eyes. Thanks. How do I change the display font size on windows xp? ?
Sounds like you need to reinstall the video driver. If you've got a wide screen monitor, the default driver won't match the aspect ratio of the screen and the monitor has to stretch it out to make it fit.

How to make my display settings look the same?
so i just asked a similiar question
i was playing a game which after i was done change my screen res
it made everything way big and look ugly
i did the right click/personalize and changed the settings to high res
it looks better like i said but now everything is tiny
and the fonts are small
how do i fix this?
or better yet is there a way to reset or change it back to its default settings? How to make my display settings look the same?
You have to be very careful when you start messing around with the settings on your computer. Trying to dial things in perfectly is something that should left to people who really know what they're doing.
The first thing you should always do, is write the settings down as the are before you start fiddling with resolutions, color quality, themes and what not. Do you even know your default settings?
Try 1024 X 768 pixels and the 32 Bit on the color quality. This MIGHT be at least a starting point for you to work from. Next time, leave it to someone that knows what they're doing.
