How do I change the display on my monitor?

My system had a virus and I had it restored back to factory settings. I only took the tower thing where I was getting it fixed not the monitor. My monitor is 20'; but when I had it returned and plugged it in everything seems to be set to a 17'; monitor. Web pages don't fill the screen. I have tried altering the resolution but it makes everything massive and fuzzy, Hard to explain, changing the resolution just magnifies what I already have, it doesnt make the page fill the screen.

From my lingo, i am sure you can spot i havent a clue when i comes to the nitty gritty of computers, I know how to use the net etc, so any answers, please use the most simplest of computer language!

Many thanks

Windows Vista problem (my daughter uses my computer while my login is still active.. how do I change settings?

I was accustomed to XP. When one person signed on the other was already automatically logged off. But with VISTA my daughter wont listen and just sits down (she does not live here this is during her short visits from next door) and I will be in another room and she just turns on her log in and in her mind to do that I must be logged off but Vista is not like that... HELP. I need advice quick on how to set this Vista to ask for a password every time it goes to sleep... I go to control panel and CAN NOT FIND the display that I am accustomed to using. HELP.... Why did they change something that worked?Windows Vista problem (my daughter uses my computer while my login is still active.. how do I change settings?
When you click on the start button at the bottom left of the screen, you will see your profile picture at the top of the menu. Just click on that. It will let you put set a password for your profile. To set it so that it will return to the login screen after it sleeps or after you return from a screensaver then I believe you either need to go to the power settings, or the screensaver settings. But I believe it should be under the power settings.Windows Vista problem (my daughter uses my computer while my login is still active.. how do I change settings?
Click the start button at the bottom left,

then go to

Control Panel // User Accounts // Create Password in that order.

Here you can set a PW so she can't log in.
To change or add a password on vista, go to the start menu and at the top of the menu is a picture..with the mouse click on the picture, when it comes up you can change your picture, password and other things too...hope this helps!!
go to control panel click on user accounts and family safety, click on change windows password, click on turn user account control on or off, check the box then press ok. you must first have an account and create a password to prevent others to use your computer.

How do I change the greeting message on the homescreen on my Samsung Eternity?

Well I got a Samsung Eternity today, and I saw an option in Menu%26gt;Settings%26gt;Display and Light to change my greeting message. I'm assuming that the greeting message is the message on the homescreen right under where the Bluetooth icon is up at the top, so I typed in the message I wanted, and I clicked ';Ok'; and I went back to the homescreen, and it didn't change. I tried turning off the phone, but it still hadn't changed. Is there a save button I'm missing? Please help. How do I change the greeting message on the homescreen on my Samsung Eternity?
Your gretting message is the message that come's up as your turning your phone one. The words underneath the bluetooth icon [since ur bluetooth must be on] is probably the service. Does is say AT%26amp;T? If so, you can change that. The only time that'll go away is when you are temporarily out of service or dont have any service. How do I change the greeting message on the homescreen on my Samsung Eternity?
It's not the message on the homescreen, it's the message that shows up first when you turn it on.

I know that if I go to settings/display settings/font type I can change the font... But how can I change the size? Yesterday I was texting and had a normal font when all of a sudden everything shrunk. When I am creating a text the font looks normal sized yet when I receive one and open it the font is like micro? Why did this happen? and How can I make it go back to how it used to be?
