I am an administrator on the computer, but running on a modified windows XP Pro.How do I change my desktop background and theme if you don't have access to display settings by right clicking
Open up your desired background file in IE or Firefox.

Right click on the image.

In IE, you'll get a message that says

';Set as Background'; - clicking will set your desktop background image

In Firefox, you'll get a message that says:

';Set as Desktop Background'; - that will achieve the same purpose.How do I change my desktop background and theme if you don't have access to display settings by right clicking
go to control panel - then display - you can change it here.

Good luck!
Go to Start %26gt; Run %26gt; type ';control desk.cpl';

That should open the Display Control Panel
click start, go to control panel then to display.
control panel,select appearance and themes.pick what you want
Go to the start menu, then select control panel. In there you should find an option for appearance and themes. Select this and the choose what you want to change. After each change dont forget to click 'apply' or it will go back to the way it was before when you log off and then back on again
there is no right click as you say everything is left click go to start left click left click on control panel left click on display and the rest is as you see it. If you can't do this you might not be the admin as you think check those settings as I can do it as admin but no one else can that is signed on as they are limited they can do some things but not all..J
