How to change ';timing'; of Nikon D40 Display Screen?

I have a Nikon D40 and I can't figure out how to increase the ';timing'; of the display screen. When I'm trying to change settings or make changes, the LCD screen goes black after about 5 seconds. I know that it does this to save battery power, but I want to increase the time to say 10 seconds. Does anyone know how to do this?How to change ';timing'; of Nikon D40 Display Screen?

If you can't find the settings as described in page 78, then see page 80 and set your CSM/Setup menu to full. If you are using ';simple'; or ';My Menu';, you could be hiding the adjustments described on page 78.
