HELP- Windows XP Home (Media Center). How do I change the desktop icons' background from color to transparent?

I tried to change it in the display settings, but to no avail. PLEASE HELP...HELP- Windows XP Home (Media Center). How do I change the desktop icons' background from color to transparent?
Go to start %26gt;%26gt; right click on my computer %26gt;%26gt; properties %26gt;%26gt; advanced %26gt;%26gt; performance %26gt;%26gt; then there should be an option down the list where it says something like making the background of the icons to transparent.HELP- Windows XP Home (Media Center). How do I change the desktop icons' background from color to transparent?
Click on your start, go to controll pannel, select display. From there you should be able to find what you're looking for. Hope I helped.
Right Click on your desktop. When the sub-menu appears, go to the arrange Icons by selection. When the sub-menu extends. go down to ';Lock Web Items on Desktop'; and remove the check mark.
