NVIDIA GeForce 6200 OC?

Hi.

So last week I bought a NVIDIA GeForce 6200 OC (256 MB) vid card to 1) update my comp a tad and 2) it will allow me to play Spore (which I bought on launch day).

I came home and installed the card like the manual said to do. When I attached my LSD flat screen to it, everything was in 640x480 4-bit coloring.

No prob... I know how to change the Display Settings.

Well, the thing is, is I can't can't change the settings for the card.

It just stays in 640x480 4-bit coloring.

I've contacted the manufacture via email (twice).

The 1st time they said I should update the drive.

Did, and nothing was fixed.

The second time they suggested I get an older display driver.

But I have NO idea where to get this.

My question(s), has anyone else had this problem?

And where you able to fix it?

And where can I get old drivers at to try?

thanks.NVIDIA GeForce 6200 OC?
6200 OC Is over 5 years old and can never hope to run something as SPORE in medium.

Buy a 7600GS or 9600GS for under $60/80 respectively.

Model wise the first number is generation, the newest gens are 8/9 and the second number is the performance tier.

A 7800GT beats an 8600GT for example.

6 is an old generation and 2 means it is poor in performance.NVIDIA GeForce 6200 OC?
Did you install the drivers from the CD that came with the video card?

Updated drivers are here:
