How do I change my laptop monitor settings to run videos on an dvd projector?

You know, these monitor (display) options 1 and 2? Primary and secondary? I do not know how to activate 2 so as to connect through cable to a dvd projector. Each time I enable 2, it seems to get disabled again by default. How do I change my laptop monitor settings to run videos on an dvd projector?
on the keyboard hit the FN key + the F key with the little screens on it should be F7 and this will cycle the image out put to laptop, laptop and projector - projector - once you get to projector it should show the image

if its failing then check the resolution that the projector can support and change this on you laptopHow do I change my laptop monitor settings to run videos on an dvd projector?
Your laptop will generally have one of the function keys dedicated to switching the video output modes - typically it's changing between three settings: LCD Only / External Output Only / Mirror LCD to External.

Your particular laptop will implement this in a manufacturer-specific fashion, but most laptops I have seen will have a little icon on the appropriate function key that either looks like two LDC screens, or perhaps a monitor icon, or sometimes even just the word ';LCD';.

Once the projector is hooked up, start hitting that function key, often you'll need to hold down another key (like ';fn'; or a blue box down along the lower row of your keyboard) to make the ';alternate'; function of the function key operate. Clear as mud? :-)

Don't worry - give it a try - you're not going to hurt anything and sometimes it's just trial and error to get the right combination of output modes and video settings.

So you basically have to connect your cable into your Laptop and the other end of the cable o the Projector It's like a white machine.

Good Luck
You need to activate the clone option in your grapichs control panel. Right click on you desktop, there should be a controlpanal for either ATI og Nvidia, depends on the manufacturer of your graphiccard.
